I have always enjoyed helping people. That is why I wanted to be a doctor. Since I love children, becoming a Pediatrician was logical. I have been a board certified Pediatrician for the past 7 years. I have worked in small clinics, hospital settings, and private practice. Recently, I worked at Ft.Bragg's largest outpatient clinic in North Carolina. Each employment opportunity presented its own challenges and benefits.

While preparing to renew my Pediatric board certification, I decided to consider a career change to spend more time with my son. When I learned about Suite 101, I was excited to explore a career in medical writing. Although I was a biology major, english and literature were always my favorite subjects. I had never considered combining my personal interests with my academic qualifications. My only scientific writing experience to date was during my undergraduate training when I wrote an article on my research project for the Archives of Pharmacology.

I am excited to begin exploring the field of medical writing. I have a lot of love for medicine, and my years of medical experience will be very useful. Learning to write creatively will take some time, but I am open to learning and eager to experience new things.
